Anne James – Author and Nature Enthusiast

Anne Buchanan James is part farmer and a whole lot of gardener. Many years ago she owned and operated Anne’s Perennials after completing a landscape design course in England while in college. Dabbling in topiaries while living in South Carolina and growing old fashioned roses to sell to nurseries she also, raised three children. Back on the family farm in Illinois she raised grass fed cattle in a rotational grazing project. Became a Master Gardener through University of Illinois Extension Service.  Moving to Florida she became a Park Ranger for the Department of Environmental Protection. She completed a Florida Master Naturalist course with the University of Florida Extension service as well. A part time job doing beach mouse research with Florida Fish & Wildlife, a zipline guide, gave way to now working for a Zoo in Tennessee.  Animals and plants. A perfect fit.
